Including graphics in your newsletter |
Making your newsletter or
email message look professional is easy when you incorporate
graphics. Bright, crisp graphics make it easier to get
the reader's attention and it is still true that one picture
is worth a thousand words.
To incorporate graphics
into your email, first publish the graphics file to your
website. You can put it anywhere on your site but it is
easiest to create a special folder such as "homegraphics" to
hold the files. Simply reference the image in your
html document using the full URL path to the file.
For example, if the
graphics file is hpsjccmember.gif in the folder "homegraphics"
on our own site www.voicegateway.com, the full url (used in
an html image tag) for this would be http://www.voicegateway.com/homegraphics/hpsjccmember.gif

Do you know what a "Blog" or
"Weblog" is? It is the latest Internet craze that just might
become a permanent part of the online experience. It
seems just about everyone from "joe six pack" to "soccer

logs (blogs, for short).
A weblog is a specialized
kind of website where the owner of the site posts their own
running commentary frequently. Think of it as a
personal diary or journal posted for the world to read.
The most successful weblogs have interesting topics and
information and are not just personal rants or fluff.
The important new twist
that makes a weblog more than just a one-man personal
newspaper or journal is the ability for the viewers to post
comments and feedback. By allowing the readers to
contribute their own ideas, weblogs become forums for
discussions (arguments too!) and the open exchange of ideas.
Rather than someone preaching from a pulpit, the weblog is

It is also important for a
weblog to be updated regularly. Most blogs are updated
several times a week or even daily. A weblog is like
publishing a personal newpaper or magazine. If you
don't keep your readers interested with new material, they
will stop coming by and find something else to read.
